Volleyball courts are rectangular playing areas specifically designed for the sport of volleyball. The standard indoor court is 18 meters long and 9 meters wide, divided into two equal halves by a net. The net is set at a height of 2.43 meters for men's play and 2.24 meters for women's play. The court is marked with boundary lines, including sidelines and end lines.
Volleyball is played by two teams of six players each, aiming to score points by sending the ball over the net and into the opponent's court. Teams are allowed three consecutive touches to return the ball, emphasizing teamwork and coordination. Outdoor variations of volleyball, such as beach volleyball, have slightly different court dimensions and rules.
